Our Mission
Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary is a nonprofit 501c3 vegan sanctuary in Virginia. Little Buckets shows the public how farm animals have loving, fun, sweet personalities, have strong family bonds and friendships, and that they feel the same emotions as your domestic pets. We show there is no difference and that we should love all animals by living compassionately.
Hay Bale Fundraiser
Join us in supporting the sanctuary with our 2026 Hay Bale Fundraiser! Every bale purchased helps provide one of the favorite foods to all our hay eating rescued horses, goats, donkeys, and our big steers who call the sanctuary home. From our little 13 year old Feta to our namesake 2500 pound Bucket, your contribution ensures they all have the hay they deserve. Together, we can keep the barn full and all the animals happy—one bale at a time.
Donating one bale or one bale per month, you become a Hay Hero, which helps us tremendously. If we can reach 100 people who are willing to donate one bale every month, we will no longer have to fundraise each year for hay. How amazing would that be!! Thank you for wanting to help with hay. I know it is not necessarily a fun thing to donate for, but watching the animals run across a field when I even get close to the hay barn, would make you realize, you are absolutely donating to a fun and very important thing.

Our 2025 New Rescues & a heartfelt thank you.
It's Giving Tuesday, a day of Giving, and our biggest fundraiser for the animals of the year. And we have a HUGE DONOR MATCH of $6300 because of 4 very generous donors which is so incredible and if we can hit that amount, we will be half way to our overall goal.
Last year, we raised a mind blowing amount of $38500. We would love to beat that goal however it has been a tough year for donations and expenses have been way higher. This fundraiser is absolutely crucial for us as our funds are at the lowest they have been in several years. Every dollar helps us continue to do what we do - we provide a lifetime of care and love for every rescue we have welcomed. Will you help us help the animals? The animals need you so please consider giving any amount to help them. We are so grateful and appreciative for every donation, for all the love the animas receives, and for having you be a part of the Little Buckets family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
