Cash was pulled directly by us from a rural dog shelter in SW Virginia. They do a great job in networking their dogs to get them into safe rescues, etc as well as adopting out. I saw Cash's picture and I immediately fell in love. With Colton being 50% St Bernard and loving the Great Pyrenees as a guardian for the farm, what would be an amazing combo - a St Bernard/Great Pyrenees. I always try to help dogs that don't get immediately pulled so I waited a few days. With trying to adopt Arizona out, it wasn't necessarily the best time to welcome another dog but my gut was saying I had to help him. And so I did. When he got off the transport truck, we met several hours away, he melded into me like we had known each other our whole lives. (The shelter has described him as the friendliest dog they had had in the last 3 years) And that he was. When we got home, he felt home and immediately became besties with Cooper as they could romp around together. He immediately took to Colton as well and both Cooper and Colton loved him back. He has done so well his first 3 months here, learning the ropes of sanctuary life. And when I say he has my back, he does. This boy hears everything and is always alerting me of everything he thinks I need to know about. We are still introducing him to all the animals on the farm. We want him to learn Colton's way. We have gotten him neutered, he is gaining weight and that coat is so soft now. We love him so much.
And we got his DNA done and he is in fact 50% St Bernard/ 50% Great Pyrenees :)
