Pisa arrived in April 2022 at a month old. She is an angora goat and gets sheared like sheep do. She was born with neurological issues that does not allow her stand on her own. We were hoping she would be able to learn to balance like Tater and Tot were able however when she falls, she was never able to figure out how to get back up on her own. We have built several wood chutes that she can stand in on her own which allows her to ricochet off the boards on each side of her to balance herself. She is spunky, sweet, strong, and inspires us every day. We always say she has Pisa Power!! She works those little legs hard to fly around the farm. When she gets sheared, she looks like a different goat. She gets sheared 3x a year at least. Many people think she is a sheep but she is indeed a goat. Her curls are absolutely amazing and so soft. We are constantly working with Pisa to help her thrive and recently upgraded her cart to a customized cart from Bionic Pets. She doesn't know any different and is so happy and healthy otherwise. She is a little fighter and will always be my baby girl as she lived in the house for 2 years. She now bunks with Lucca in their own special barn where they each have a "room" as I call it. Her barn and field are right next to the house as we are constantly checking on both of them as well as bringing her hot water all day during the cooler months. We call her a little high maintenance :) but that's okay. Keeping her hydrated is a little bit of a job but so worth it.
Pisa has 2 very special sponsor moms splitting her care. If interested in sponsoring Pisa, she could use 1 or 2 more Sponsors as our girl has lots of expenses. :)
